 Pre-sowing stage 
  • Deep ploughing in summer to soil borne pathogens and immature stages of hibernating defoliators.
  • Early sowing to avoid damage due to insect-pests.
  • Collection and destruction of foliage feeders.
  • Seed treatment with Trichoderma viride @ 4 gm/kg seed.
  • Seed treatment with carbendazim @ 2 gm/kg seed or Thiram or Mancozeb @ 2%.

Sowing stage
  • Release of Chryloperla eggs/ grubs @ 1-2/plant.
