10th All India Inter Agriculture University Sports & Games Meet
"AGRIUNISPORTS - 2009"
March 3-6, 2009
Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya Jabalpur is hosting 10th All India Inter Agricultural University Sports & Games Meet From 3rd to 6th March 2009 at Jawahar Stadium of the University. In the mega meet 36 Agricultural and Veterinary Universities of the country are participating in Kabbadi, Kho-Kho, Table Tennis, Badminton and Athletics events. About 1300 players along with 72 Team Managers & Coaches have arrived to participate in the meet. In the event 80 Gold Medals, 80 Silver Medals and 34 Bronze Medals would be awarded to winner players.
This is for the first time after the established of the University such Inter Agricultural University Sports and Games meet is being organized successfully in the University. For making all the arrangements of the meet 22 different committee have been constituted, in which 246 Professors, 131 boys and 40 girls students are working continuously round the clock for looking after every possible comforts to the players.
Prof. Gautam Kalloo, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor is the greatest source of inspiration who has been spending maximum time since last 3-4 months in preparation of the ground, infrastructure etc. for organizing the meet.
Dr. P.K. Bisen, Dean Student Welfare & Organizing Secretary of AGRIUNISPORTS 2009 and his team have done marathon work in making all the necessary arrangements for the events.
Event has been inaugurated on 3rd March, 2009 by Dr. S.P. Tiwari, Deputy Director General (Edu.), ICAR New Delhi. Different committees have given responsibly to make the event successful.
